Evidence-based Psychotherapy

Your child can work with the psychologist in an individual therapy setting to learn to express emotions, practise coping strategies and navigate childhood with more courage, resilience, and sense of accomplishment. Our psychologist, Ms Amy uses a range of therapeutic strategies, including talk therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, play and expressive arts to work with children with emotional or behavioural concerns / challenges.

Teenagers often face challenges when they transition from primary school to secondary school, such as increased difficulty in academic subjects, changes in their relationship with parents and peers, hormonal changes due to puberty, and developing their personal identity and understanding what it means a teenager and the responsibilities that come with it.

Teenagers can have a safe space in therapy to talk about their challenges, whether emotional, relational with friends, teachers or parents, or personal.

Supporting Carers and Parents

Our psychologist helps individual adults with mood concerns, anxiety, perfectionism, autism-spectrum conditions (ASCs), ADHD, managing life transitions, mental health when dealing with chronic health conditions.

Ms Ng's experiences in outreach work in older adults from various cultural backgrounds, and medical social work where she accompanies those dealing with various stages of end-stage renal failure and comorbidities such as heart disease, SLE and diabetes complications and facing their own mortality, enhances her empathy and skills when working with chronically ill individuals.

Parents have one of the hardest jobs, raising a child from infancy to adulthood, while managing work and other family commitments. When your child/teen/young adult is having challenges that you find difficult to assist or improve, book a consultation with a psychologist for an impartial perspective, and learn new ways of connecting with your loved one.

Parent coaching usually focuses on the child / teen / young adults' concerns and is not a substitute for therapy for the parents' mental health concerns.

Carers can also consult a psychologist when they are having difficulty supporting an older adult or a relative under their care.

Mr Maurice Anthony, from Autistix Bloomskill Services, provides life skills and career coaching to neurodivergent and neurotypical teenagers and adults.
