What is Autism Spectrum Disorder?

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), as it is known in countries such as the UK, is a neurodevelopmental condition which some children, teens and adults are identified to experience.

Therapy or Treatments

Here are some of the common therapies offered for autistic individuals:

  2. Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®)

  3. Collaborative and Proactive Solutions (CPS)

What approach does Insights Psychology Services provide?

Amy is trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) through the Beck’s Institute, and completed 4-day basic training on Collaborative and Proactive Solutions (CPS) developed by Dr Ross Greene.

Ms Ng uses both of these approaches with autistic children and teenagers. The CPS approach have been used to assist individuals in many settings including schools, clinics, hospitals and prison settings. It does not rely on Rewards and Punishments commonly used in ABA approach.
